About
Independent journalism for a nation that deserves it.
The Times Patriot is a digital newsroom founded with a single mission: to report on Indian life with rigor, fairness, and the courage to follow the story where it leads.
Our mission
We believe that informed citizens are the foundation of the world's largest democracy. Every story we publish is held to a single standard: would a reader, ten years from now, still trust what we wrote? If the answer is no, the story does not run.
We cover national politics, economy, foreign policy, business, technology, sports, and the diverse stories of communities across the subcontinent that rarely make headlines. We do not chase outrage. We do not court controversy. We report.
Editorial standards
Every reporter at The Times Patriot operates under a published code of conduct. Quotes are verified against original recordings. Documents are reviewed for authenticity before publication. Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when their information cannot be obtained another way, and never to make a personal attack.
Corrections are issued promptly, prominently, and without defensiveness. We do not delete stories when we get something wrong. We append the record, in plain language.
Ownership and funding
The Times Patriot is independently owned. No single investor holds more than fifteen percent of the company, and no advertiser, sponsor, or donor has any influence over editorial decisions. Our funding comes from a mix of advertising, syndication, and reader subscriptions. We publish an annual transparency report.
